Rental of the tipping bucket self-recording rain gauge OW-34-BP+OZ-20

The rainfall amount is converted into a pulsed contact signal for the observation of rainfall.

The OW-34-BP+OZ-20 is a tipping bucket rain gauge that features a 200 mm water inlet and has changed its body shape from a conventional cylindrical design to an hourglass-shaped cover. It includes an inner container that is housed in a tipping bucket type. The sensing part consists of a triangular bucket that tips over with the weight of 0.5 mm (standard) of precipitation, and a magnet attached to this tipping bucket instantaneously closes a reed switch each time it tips, converting the rainfall amount into a pulsed contact signal for observation. It is a commonly used rain gauge. It activates a pen based on signals sent from the sensor, allowing for the recording of changes in rainfall on a recording paper.

The tipping bucket rain gauge consists of a water receiving section and a recording section of a self-recording electric counter. The water receiving section is placed outdoors, while the recording section is installed indoors in the observation room, and both are connected by electric wires through a battery to operate.
